The Akins New Technology High School(AkinsNTHS) experience includes working in a small-school environment where students and staff share a culture of trust, respect, and responsibility. Students attending Akins NTHS consistently have better attendance and score as well or better than comparable students of the comprehensive campus on state standardized tests. Technology, in the form of a one-to-one student to networked computer ratio is the platform that supports project-based learning. Students have access to the network e-mail, internet access at home, and storage space for an electronic portfolio.
