Most of my career as a teacher and administrator has been at Bedichek Middle School. I have had the great privilege of opening the school in 1972, teaching a vocational program (Coordinated Vocational-Academic Education) for ten years, and serving as an assistant principal and principal for an additional ten years. There are so many wonderful memories of being the newest school south of the river nestled in the woods and open farmland with all the latest and greatest facilities. The fun part for me now, is that there are many students whose parents attended Bedichek when I was a young teacher. Additionally, there are several present staff members who were students at Bedichek and have returned to work at their "middle school home." We have always tried to make our school a home away from home. We are family at Bedichek and always will be. Once a BOBCAT, always a BOBCAT!
