What
is Community School?
Bedichek Community School is a key element in serving
not only the school and it students but also the
students' parents and the community as a whole.
As part of the Community Education Program the mission
is to provide quality programs for children that
support and enhance school curriculum; to provide
resources to schools to meet student's needs; and
to connect Austin families and individuals with
education resources made available at schools.
Austin I.S.D. and the City of Austin are the primary
sponsors of the community school. However, the program
has used collaborations and grants to enhance and
provide additional services to the community.
