AR is an online reading incentive program that enables students to read books, then answer multiple choice questions over the content of the book. AR is used in 1st-5th grades as students become independent readers. The Clayton student login web site is: https://hosted99.renlearn.com/2217363 and the AR bookfinder is located at www.arbookfind.com. See to right on how and what Clayton students are reading now!
Birthday Book Club
The Clayton Library Birthday Book Club is growing by leaps and bounds!
Books may be donated to the library to celebrate a birthday, in memory of someone, or in honor of someone special. We prefer hard back books to be donated since they last longer on the shelves. Contact Mrs. Tuttle at 841-9217 for more information.
The library is running smoothly and efficiently due to some hard working volunteers! There are still many spots open for weekly, or every other week volunteering. The biggest gaps are on Thursdays and Fridays. If you can come on a regular basis and help check in books, assist children in checking out, and shelve books, contact Mrs. Tuttle at 841-9217
Donations to the Library
Our library continues to grow thanks to some generous donations from Clayton families and from some matching donations from their businesses! If you work for a company that provides matching donations, you might consider donating to purchase more library books! We are concentrating on building up our Nonfiction section, especially the science books.
The Library is for All – Parents Too!
Even though we are a young and growing library, we welcome all our Clayton families to come and check out books! The more you read to your children and with your children, the better we ALL become! Come and let Mrs. Tuttle put your name into the system and then you are ready to check out books!
