Dragon Club

The DRAGON CLUB is a free extended day program providing quality out-of-school time activities - before and after school - for students attending Garcia Middle School.

We provide

Students with a safe, nurturing and educational environment, to instill in them a passion for learning, and to further develop character and social skills while helping them become responsible citizens in a global community. We hope Club members will develop friendships, and grow in confidence, independence and respect for themselves and others in a fun atmosphere.

Guidance

The DRAGON CLUB hires and trains staff that has experience in education, recreational programs, or other related school-age programming.  It is the goal of the DRAGON CLUB to guide members in becoming happy, responsible, cooperative participants through positive, non-threatening teaching techniques.  We want to increase the members’ respect for themselves by guiding them to become responsible for their own actions, and to help them grow in their respect for the rights and feelings of other people.  When behavior problems arise, members will be given options.
