Crossing Guards Needed
Clint Small Middle School
The City of Austin is looking
for applicants to fill crossing guard positions.
We require people who are physically and mentally suited
to work with children but also maintain a good relationship with
parents and motorists. The positions require that a person must
be able to stand for at least an hour and be able to repeatedly cross
the street with pedestrians during that time without becoming too
fatigued. This person must be dependable and will be expected to
maintain a good attendance record. The applicant must be at least
16 years old and there is no upper age limit as long as the applicant
is physically and mentally able to keep our children safe. This
is not a hard job but is very important for the safety of our children
crossing at these locations. These are City of Austin paid
positions. The hourly rate is currently $9.00. The hours are 7:00-8:00 am and 2:30-3:30 pm, Monday
through Friday and follows the same holiday schedule that AISD does.
A criminal background check with be conducted. No
experience is required. Training will be provided.
