Parents

The LASA community has many ways for parents to be involved and informed about what is happening at school and in the classroom.

  • Parents and Friends of LASA (PFLASA) is a dynamic organization that provides support to both the faculty and administration as well as the parents and students of LASA. Our goals are:

    • Raise money and secure material resources
    • Enhance communication within the LASA community
    • Strengthen the LASA community and expand outreach to prospective LASA families

PFLASA usually has regularly scheduled meetings on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month; parents are encouraged to attend.

  • For more information about how to support LASA, click here.

  • The Liberal Arts & Science Academy (LASA) High School shares a campus with LBJ High School. The PTSA works with parents and administrations of both schools to organize activities that allow resources to be used most effectively.  Join the PTSA by downloading the membership form.

  • Lots of LASA is a weekly e-newsletter that goes to the LASA community with valuable, timely information about what goes on among the students, faculty and school community.

  • In addition to our weekly e-newsletter, LASA makes extensive use of the PFLASA listserv. Click here for instructions of how to join.

  • Other parent resources are a Carpool database and Glossary of frequently used terms at LASA.

  •  Join the PTSA, order a Directory, get a Liberator subscription.  Place your order for an LBJ/LASA campus directory by downloading the form and mailing a check payable to LBJ PTSA for $4 (if you also join PTSA for $7) or $5 (if not a PTSA member) to
