Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

Our goal every year is 100% involvement by the faculty and staff in the PTA. This organization directly supports many activities related to the social and academic growth of our children. PTA meeting dates and times are included on the Master Calendar. Teachers are encouraged to attend PTA meetings in order to support the home-school connection.

Parent Information

As a parent, you hear it all the time, "Get involved in your child's learning... get involved in your child's school... get involved in your child's education..." But why should you get involved? How can you get involved?

According to the National PTA, research shows that when parents are involved in their child's education:

  • students achieve more, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic/racial background, or the parents education level.
  • students have higher grades and test scores, better attendance, and complete homework more consistently.
  • students have higher graduation rates and greater enrollment rates in post-secondary education.
  • students behaviors, such as alcohol use, violence, and anti-social behavior decrease.
