Campus Advisory Council (CAC)

The purpose of this committee is to assist and advise our principal in bringing about cooperation and coordination of our resources to maximize educational opportunities for all Oak Springs' scholars.

The committee is made up of parents, professional staff (i.e. teachers, vice-principal), a representative from the classified staff (i.e. clerks, teacher assistants, etc.), community and business representatives and the principal.

Please note that agendas, members, dates of meetings and minutes of the Council are posted on a bulletin board just outside the school office.

Council Objectives

The main objectives of the Council are to:

• Assess school programs and services
• Establish goals to improve these programs and services
• Evaluate scholar progress
• Review and help develop the school budget
• Integrate all of the above to develop the yearly Campus Improvement Plan (CIP)
• Act as a liaison between our school and community
