About Oak Springs Elementary School
The first live oak tree planted on the Oak Springs campus, as seen in September 2008.
Oak Springs is an East Austin school serving a majority of scholars from the Booker T. Washington Housing Complex.
Our faculty, staff, and administrative team work together as a community to ensure scholar success. As a result of our efforts last year, our scholars increased their gains on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test. The faculty and staff would like to acknowledge the strong support of our parents and partners in this effort. Our parents and our supporters in the business community are regularly involved in school activities. They are recognized on a monthly basis for the wonderful assistance they provide.
We have several supporters throughout the Austin Community who assist us by mentoring, tutoring, donating items and participating in our Campus Advisory Council activities.
