School Schedule Information

Morning Seminars

Morning seminars are conducted weekly from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Fridays.  Classes sit in the same assigned area each time.

Seminars may include the following:

• U.S. Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge in English and Spanish
• Recognition of birthdays
• Announcements
• Reminder of scholar expectations, both academic and behavioral
• Character Education
• Celebrations of scholar of the week, spirit award
• Recognition of scholar of the month
• College word of the week
• Clear expectations learning questions
• Mini TAKS assessment results
• The school song
• Other items as deemed appropriate and necessary

School Bells

• 7:45 a.m. - Scholars should be in class
• 2:45 p.m. - Scholar dismissal
• 3 short series of beeps - retention drill
• 2 long bells - end of fire drill and/or tornado drill
• 5 long bells - tornado drill
• Flashing siren - fire drill
