Podcasting is a method of publishing audio broadcasts via the Internet, allowing users to subscribe to a feed of new files (usually MP3s). It became popular in late 2004, largely due to automatic downloading of audio onto portable players or personal computers.

"Podcasting" combines the words "broadcasting" and "iPod." The term can be misleading since neither Podcasting nor listening to podcasts requires an iPod or any portable music player.

Patton students will be doing the Pioneer Podcast monthly.

2006-2007

• Halloween Podcast '06- Brooke, Kourtney, Kendall  and Alex present the Haunted Pumpkin Podcast.

• Gettysburg Address- Mr. Shelby's class recites Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address.

• Texas Independence Day Podcast- Learn about Texas Independence Day, Steven F. Austin, and other Texas facts. Also included is a poem called 'Lone Star'.

• Heart Shaped Podcast- Learn the history of Cupid and Saint Valentine along with some customs and poems.

• January Podcast- Yoplait yogurt lids and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Marathon Kids update, Texas Bluebonnet Award Program.

• Yule Pod- Discover the history of the Yule Festival and more in this special Holiday podcast.

• Pod Gobbler - Mrs. Cash and Mr. Shelby's students give you the history and meaning behind our wonderful American holiday.

• Halloween Podcast - Here the kids ham it up with plenty of cheese.  Sit back and laugh.
