Pease Garage Sale

The Pease PTA raised almost $1300 at our first garage sale. Thanks to all volunteers who donated items and time to make this event a success.

First Grade Goes Swimming!

First graders participated in Project Safe, a program designed to teach aquatic safety and physical fitness. The students went to the Townlake YMCA on 8 days from March 19 - 29.

Storytelling

We celebrated African American Heritage with wonderful storytellers and musicians. We heard stories from Africa and learned about African musical instruments. Our Bobcat Singers also sang a few songs.

Dowser Dan Show

Students in grades K - 3 learned about water conservation at the Dowser Dan Show. Sponsored by the City of Austin, Dowser Dan entertained the children with songs, a puppet, and costumed characters (all played by the same actor). The children learned about the water cycle and how important and easy it is to save water around the house. Each student received a magnet with water saving tips and a pencil after the show.

Hootenanny

The Pease community celebrated the 135th birthday of our school at the annual Hootenanny.

 

Hispanic Heritage Night

Pease celebrated Hispanic Heritage Night with a performance from the AB Cantu Pan Am Ballet Folklorico. 2 dancers attend Pease.

Classes are held at AB Cantu Pan Am Recreation Center on 2100 East 3rd.

Pete the cat visits Pease!

Students in K - 3 were treated to a visit from Eric Litwin and James Dean, the author and illustrator of the Pete the cat books. The children were entertained with songs, jokes, stories, and even painting! This fantastic event was sponsored by BookPeople and organized by Amber Teinert, our school librarian. Everyone was rocking and having a great time.
