Change is Good! Sunset Valley Welcomes New Teachers in 2009:

Debbie Alexander, Lauren Avots, Loriann Stephenson, Early Childhood
Claudia Ballak, First Grade
Brenda Fletcher, Gloria Velasquez, Speech

...and some other changes:

Robin Sanchez and Ana Abascal are now teaching 2nd Grade, Grettel Granados is teaching 3rd Grade, and David Segura is teaching 5th Grade. Melissa Rojas was married over the summer and is now known as Melissa Williams.

Sunset Valley Says Goodbye to Seven Teachers

Music teacher Sally Robberson and special education teacher Sylvia Ramirez retired at the end of the last school year after long distinguished careers.

PPCD teacher Kelli Barkley moved to be with her husband as he begins medical school. Second grade teacher Eddie Rodriguez moved to North Texas to be with his family.

Assistant Principal Leti Peña and speech therapist Rita Galliano have accepted assignments at other schools

We learned very late last school year that PPCD teacher Inez Montgomery would also not be returning. They will all be greatly missed.

Kindergarten teachers Ester Mendoza and Drew Scruggs
retired in December 2009. Danielle Sanders and Katelyn Strous
have taken over their classes.
