Mission Statement
The mission of AISD's Bilingual Education/English as a Second Language program is to support and prepare our bilingual/bicultural learners for continued education beyond high school and employment in a global economy.
Bilingual Department Beliefs
- Belief that our families'/students' cultural and linguistic backgrounds are an asset in teaching and learning.

- We operate from the belief that all ELLs will graduate from high school and college prepared to contribute to society in the 21st century.

- Every individual should have access to the educational and professional resources to succeed academically and professionally.
- All stakeholders (parents, students, community, teachers, board members and administrators) are responsible for the success of ELLs.
