DISCOVERY VIRTUAL CONFERENCE

During the Fall, Discovery Education held a virtual conference for any teacher to attend. The sessions were about effective ways to use media in the classroom. Being that it was a virtual conference, they were able to share their great trainers with everyone across the country at the same time! The sessions they held were recorded and placed online for DEN members to go back to. This will also give you an idea as to what they will be doing again this coming April 25th.

The Discovery Educator Network will be holding another virtual conference this year and it promises to share more impactful and relevant training for classroom teachers. You can register for the online webinars and participate while still in your jammies on a Saturday morning! :) For those wanting more human interaction, Claudia Bedoya, one of the wonderful DEN STARs in Austin, is hosting an in-person event during that day. On April 25th, from 8am - 4pm, Claudia will open her doors at Pickle Elementary (1101 Wheatley Ave, Austin TX 78752) for those who register for this in-person event. We will be watching and interacting with the webinar, but will have the added benefit of sharing the experience with other teachers. This is meant to be a fun time to relax and share your experiences and ideas with other teachers while also hearing from great Discovery trainers online. If you register online for this, you can come to any or all of the webinars. The in-person event is a come-and-go event. Claudia will have some breakfast and lunch items during the day and Discovery is providing some fun door prizes for the event. Register for the Virtual Conference and get more information about it.
